Fin de Semana

Buenas dias

Pues como pueden ver de las fotos, ayer fue una dia con muchas actividades para el Grupo Ecologistas de Nayarit.

Pueden ver Vicente platicando con unos niños que llegaron el viernes con sus familias para aprender sobre las tortugas marinas. Creo que van a recordar esta fin de semana como una buena experiencia, algunos tenian el suerte a ver una tortuga hembra desolvando en la playa de El Naranjo!

Well as you can see from the photos, yesterday was a busy day for the Ecological Group.

You can see Vicente giving a talk to some children who arrived on friday with there families to learn about the Marine Turtles. I think they will all remember this weekend as a nice experience, some of the children had the luck of watching a adult female Olive Ridley laying her eggs on El Naranjo beach!

Despues de la platica fuimos a la playa de Guayabitos para liberar unos 120 tortuguitas en una evento publico. Como pasa mucho, hubo mas adultos y niños presentes en la liberacion que tortuguitas. La liberacion fue muy bien con los adultos y niños muestrando muchos interes en la vida de las tortugas.

Hoy vamos a hacer otra liberacion a la 6pm en la playa Guayabitos. Tenemos 4 nidos naciendo de playa el Naranjo y 1 de playa Guayabitos.

Felicidades a Campamento Punta Raza acaban a liberar 600 tortuguitas!

After the talk for the children we went to Guayabitos beach to hold a public release of 120 turtle hatchlings. As happens often, there were more abults and children than turtles. The release went very well, everyone was very interested to learn about the turtles.

Today a 6pm we are going to have another public release. At the momento we have 4 nests hatching from el Naranjo and 1 from Guayabitos.

Congratulations to Punta Raza camp who just released 600 hatchlings.
