4 nidos anoche

Disculpa la tardanza con esta entrada, estoy haciendo mis examenes.

Ok todo sigue bien aquí en Rincón de Guayabitos, ayer los voluntarios encontraron 4 nidos de tortuga (la noche anterior, encontraron ninguno pero hubo mucha lluvia y entonces puede ser que los raestros fueron borrados).

Ya están eclosionando los nidos! Buenas noticias porque significa el comienzo de los liberaciones publicas y una oportunidad para enseñar a la gente un poquito sobre las tortugas y porque tenemos que protegerlas.

El viernes fui al campamento Nuevo Vallarta para ayudar un poquito, limpiando nidos, creo que están naciendo un promedia de 100 nidos al día en el corral.

Sorry That I havent updated the blog this week, im in the middle of my exams.


Ok, Everything is going well here in Rincon de Guayabitos, last night the volunteers found 4 olive ridley nests (the night before, no nests were found but this was probably because it was rainning hard and so the tracks may have been washed away)


The nests are now hatching! great news because it means the start of the public releases, giving us the chances to teach people about the marine turtles and why they need to be protected.


On friday I went to Nuevo Vallarta camp to lend a hand cleaning out the nests. On average they have 100 nests hatching daily.
