Octubre: Liberacion en Rincon de Guayabitos

Espero que todos estén bien. Yo sigue en Inglaterra estudiando la Maestrea. Aquí te paso unas fotografías tomadas por Vicente de una liberación de tortuguitas Golfinas en la playa de Rincón de Guayabitos. Como puede ver están eclosionando bien esta temporada.

Hope everybody is well. I am still in England studying for a master’s degree. Below are some photographs taken by Vicente of an Olive Ridley turtle release in Rincon de Guayabitos. As you can see, the turtles are hatching well this season.

El fin de semana liberaron tortuguitas golfinas en la playa de Rincón de Guayabitos con un grupo de turistas.

Ayer eclosionaron el nido numero 27 de tortuguitas.

At the weekend we released olive ridley marine turtle hatchlings on Rincon de Guayabitos beach with the help of a group of tourists.

Yesterday nest number 27 hatched.

Aqui les mostramos a las nuevas inquilinas que seran liberadas el dia de hoy 6 de septiembre de 2008.

Nuevas inquilinas en el mar

El día de hoy 29/08/2008 fueron liberados el primer y segundo nido de tortugas golfinas en la playa de Rincón de Guayabitos.

Pronto seguiran las liberaciones de tortuguitas, por lo pronto les informo que ya estan naciendo los nidos 3 y 4 de esta temporada, Las liberaciones llevan 50 dias de retraso con respecto a su recoleccion. asi que todavia hay tiempo para venir y liberar una tortuguita.

Today (29th Aug 08) the Olive Ridley turtle hatchlings from the first two nests recoverd from Rincon de Guayabitos beach were released into the ocean.

Soon we will be releasing further marine turtle hatchlings. Today nests 3 and 4 are beginning to hatch. Due to the fact that the turtle eggs are taking 50 days to hatch there is still plenty of time for the public to come and help us release more hatchlings into the ocean.

Disculpa la falta de nueva entradas. Voy a estar en Inglaterra esta temporada estudiando una maestría en Conservación y Biodiversidad en el Universidad de Exeter.

Vicente Peña Aldrete, vocero de Los Grupos Ecologistas de Nayarit A.C. va a estar encargado a subir información sobre los actividades de protección de la tortuga marina "temporada 2008".

Sorry about the lack of new entries. I will be in England this season studying a Msc Conservation and Biodiversity at the University of Exeter.
