Acabamos de empezar marcado nuestras tortugas anidatorias en la playa El Naranjo. Mediante las marcas metálicas, las tortugas se pueden identificar como individuos, lo que permitirá descubrir cuantas tortugas hembras anidan en la playa de El Naranjo. Además, si la tortuga es capturada o anida en otra playa la información de la marcaje permitirá a los biólogos a identificar donde fue mercado y así podemos aprender sobre los movimientos de nuestras tortugas.
We have just started tagging our nesting female turtles on El Naranjo beach. By tagging the turtles we can identify them as individuals, this will allow to discover how many females we have nesting on El Naranjo. Also if the turtle is caught or nests on another beach the information will allow the biologist to identify where the turtle came from giving insights into the turtles movements.
